I’d just like to start this post with an apology for being so quiet this past couple of weeks! I’ve had so so much going on lately and it’s been pretty crazy this end, thanks for being so patient guys. To make up for my absence, I’ve now got a brand new blog design up and running, as well as some pretty fab content coming up soon! Watch this space people.
Anyway, back to the important stuff! The other week I was invited by the fabulous people at The Bloggers Hub to attend the launch of the new Spectrum Brushes Marbleous Black collection. Before we even get into the actual collection, can we just take a second to appreciate the venue. Held in The Greenhouse over at Bourne & Hollingsworth, it was literally an instagram feeds dream.
One of the things I love about blogger events is that for once, I’m not the only one whacking out my camera and taking pictures of everything in sight. Though it wasn’t surprising at this event, with Spectrum having a reputation for having the most ‘instagramable’ brush collections.
I was wined and dined with surprisingly delicious food. I say this only because I have the taste-buds of a 5 year old, anything vaguely fancy or adventurous is usually wasted on my chicken nugget loving self.
The actual brush collection we were shown was gorgeous, a full face set finished in a beautiful marble pattern. It was toned down from Spectrums usual bright coloured pieces, but there is something quite mature and sleek about this set that I fell a little bit in love with. So I was thrilled when the wonderful Spectrum sisters gifted me with the full set! If anyone wants it, I can do a review of the brushes themselves at some point! (Hit me up in the comments or on social media!)
I had the best time at the launch, despite the crazy long journey home and 101 cancelled trains, fml.
Thanks to The Bloggers Hub for giving me the opportunity to come along, and to all you lovelies who (for reasons still unknown to me) actually read my blog!
